About the MYCC

The following Vision, Mission and Guidelines are specific to the Muslim Youth & Community Center.

Vision

A center where all are welcome and which serves as a unifying platform for all area Muslims – especially our youth to:

  • Develop their Islamic identity and character
  • Enrich the community we live in
  • Celebrate our spirit, diversity and heritage

Mission

  • To offer outstanding religious, social, cultural, and civic services to the entire community
  • To be a relevant resource and forum for our youth that gives them a sense of self and society
  • To provide a platform for the Muslim community, and especially our youth, to positively impact the entire community
  • To promote an understanding of the American Muslim experience within the broader community

  • Create strong social bonds among the area’s Muslims, especially youth

Policies & Guidelines

The Muslim Youth & Community Center will be open to all Muslims and non-Muslims.

  • Access: The Youth & Community Center will be open to all Muslim and non-Muslim individuals and organizations.
  • Gender: No gender discrimination for membership and positions. No gender segregation required.
  • Prohibited Items: No cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol, pork products, gambling, lottery, guns, drugs or pornography permitted on premises.
  • Privacy: Member contact information or email addresses will not be shared with anyone.
  • Event Timings: Based on city rules.
