WMVA Acts:
Acting together to cultivate a community of service.  This WVMA Action Group works to solve the problems of our local community as well as aid our national and international communities.  We aim to provide avenues to help, not only in the form of financial assistance, but also through volunteerism and various calls to action.

Pakistan Flood Relief:

A third of Pakistan is submerged as the country suffers devastating floods in recent months. Around 33 million people are displaced (roughly the population of California), and over a thousand have died. It is taking a high toll on lives and wreaking havoc on crops across farmland in the middle of a food crisis.

WVMA has launched a campaign to encourage our community to come together and help.  Please donate generously and help us meet our goal.  100% of the proceeds will be split between Hidaya Foundation and HDF

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE: www.bit.ly/wvma-pak

Our fundraising platform also allows you to create your own page and see how much you can raise in peer-to-peer fundraising.  We encourage our community to be at the forefront in helping those in need, in whatever capacity is possible, we must be from among those who take action.

Lastly, if your company has corporate matching, you can find us in the Benevity portal listed as a project under WVMA.

Refugee Foster Care:

There are over 25 million refugees worldwide.
Half of all refugees are children.
There is currently a large number of Afghan refugees in need of support, and the ideal support community is Afghan and/or Muslim.  If you’re able to help, join an informational session in Los Altos on Sept 17th to learn about how to support refugee children in foster care.
