Speaker: Heba Abolaban

Bio: Dr. Heba Abolaban is a public health physician who has great experience in educating women on breast health and screening awareness. She worked as a women's health consultant for several years at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in Boston before she moved recently to California with her family. She is glad to offer the breast health and screening workshop in English as well as in Arabic.

Description: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women living in California. Because we believe that Every Woman Counts, this workshop is open to all women with a focus on ladies who are 40 years old or older. Also, all bilingual peer educators are welcome to come attend the workshop so they can learn how to best deliver this important health education to their communities in their primary language. This kind of interactive learning style could save your life. Come join us and learn about signs of breast problems, common myths about breast cancer, know your risk factors, prevention, and screening including mammograms and other ways to reduce your risk.
